It features Focal’s aramid fibre cone. The legacy of our acoustics expertise, this cone, in its iconic yellow cloak, combines lightness, rigidity and damping, the perfect recipe for a good speaker driver.\nThe result is faithful, dynamic, and perfectly defined sound. Combined with the cone, the TMD surround® guarantees low distortion for perfect cone control.\nFor smooth, precise treble, the kit includes a pair of coaxial tweeters inspired by Focal’s TKME.\nIts K2 cone with inverted dome, combined with its ‘M’-shaped profile, allows optimal dispersion of high frequencies during in-car listening.\nIn terms of compactness and design, EC 165 KE is tough and sleek, giving your in-car audio system both good looks and character.#\nPerformance K2 Excellence\nK2 Sandwich Cone\nThe aramid fibre cone inherits all of Focal’s unique know-how. Composed of an ultralight foam core, sandwiched between a thin layer of aramid fibre and a layer of fibreglass, it combines 3 key factors when it comes to acoustics: rigidity, lightness and damping, for sound that is as precise and dynamic as it can get.\nTMD® Surround\nThe speaker drivers benefit from TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, a patented innovation. This surround has a special profile, designed to better control the effect of resonance and reduce the distortion associated with deformations of the cone. The midranges are perfectly defined and very realistic.\nTKME Tweeter\nThe ‘M’-profile TKME tweeter extends the frequency response to 22 kHz with an even greater reduction of distortion, for smooth and precise diffusion in the high treble. Coupled with a ‘push-pull’ motor, based on IAL2 technology, it achieves very low resonance frequencies for perfect harmonic balance.\nFRAK Tweeter\nThe ES 165 KX2E and ES 165 KX3E kits are equipped with Focal's ‘M’-shaped FRAK tweeter. A revolution in Car Audio, it combines aluminium and magnesium for good frequency lowering and superb damping. Its lightness helps it shine in the high treble\nPower And Reliability Pushing The Boundaries\nMore Linearity And Precision\nThe progressive spider on the K2 Power speaker drivers is built around a progressive section to reproduce all the impact of the bass and increase the linearity, precision and dynamics of the sound.\nIncreased SPL\nThe Radial VC cooling system for the speaker driver coil expels hot air from the coil towards the bottom of the motor through 6 holes. This improves control over the coil temperature, limiting the effects of heat compression and improving reliability. This improves the dynamics of the speaker driver and generates a powerful sound.\nOptimised Crossovers\nAll the components used for the K2 Power crossovers have been specially selected and optimised to better control the effects of heat dissipation. These components are essential for managing the various channels and the soundstage reliably and efficiently.\nSlim Profile\nThe ES 165 K2S and SUB 25 KXS kits have a shallow depth. This slim profile takes up minimal space whilst maintaining exceptional power handling.\nKey points\nMade in France in the Focal workshops\nK2 Cone\nRobust design and high quality materials\nExceptional power handling\nAluminium grilles included\nSpecifications\nType 2-way coaxial kit\nMaximum power 160W\nNominal power 80W RMS\nSensitivity (2.83V/1m) 93dB\nFrequency response 60Hz – 22kHz\nCone K2 Sandwich\nWoofer 61/2\" (165mm)\nVoice coil diameter 1\" (25mm)\nDepth 27/8\" (74mm)\nMagnet Ferrite\nSurround TMD®\nTweeter 'M'-profile\nCrossover Integrated\nNom. impedance 4Ω\nSurround Butyl\nDC resistance 3Ω\nVC diameter 25mm 1\"\nFormer Kapton\nLayers 2\nWire CCAW\nNet weight 1100g 2.43lbs\nParameters\nRdc 3Ω\nFs 65Hz\nMms 13.9g\nCms 0.43mm/N\nVas 10l\nQts 0.55\nQes 0.6\nQms 7\nBxl 5.3 N/A\nSd 128.7cm2\nSPL 90dB\nXmax 4.5mm\n{ note_speakers }\nStinger RKXSK Expert Sound Proofing Deadening Material 2 Sheet Speaker Kit\nExpert level sound dampening\nAluminum outer layer\nSelf adhesive\nEasy installation\nUse on all metal panels, doors, roof, floor, firewall & trunk\nKills panel resonance, squeaks and rattles\nHighest damping vs. weight ratio of any material available\nImproves overall audio frequency response and bass output\nSpeaker kit\nExpert RoadKill Published Specifications\nMinimum Thickness 0.080in\nMinimum Weight 0.65bs/ft2\nAluminum Layer- 6 mils", "category": [ "Speakers", "6.5 inch (17 cm)" ], "tags": [ "focal", "ec165ke", "1/2”", "(165mm)", "2-way", "coaxial", "car", "speaker", "kit", "with", "sound", "deadening", "sheets", "6.5", "inch", "(17", "cm)", "rkxsk" ], "images": [ "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-6.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-2.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-1.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-3.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-5.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Speaker/focal/EC165KE/EC165KE-4.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Stringer/RKXSK/RKXSK-02.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Stringer/RKXSK/RKXSK-03.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Stringer/RKXSK/RKXSK-04.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Stringer/RKXSK/RKXSK-05.jpg", "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/image/catalog/products/Stringer/RKXSK/RKXSK-06.jpg" ], "price": { "currency": "GBP", "amount": 349.99, "regular": 499.99, "on_sale": true, "sale_ends": null, "includes_tax": false }, "quantity_discounts": [], "availability": { "in_stock": true, "status": "in_stock", "stock_status": "", "minimum_quantity": 1 }, "attributes": [], "options": [ { "name": "Addons", "type": "checkbox", "required": false, "values": [ { "name": "Dashboard Door Panel Trim Removal Tool Kit (5 Pcs)", "price_adjustment": 12.99, "in_stock": true }, { "name": "Stinger Roadkill Application Roller", "price_adjustment": 24.99, "in_stock": true }, { "name": "Dashboard / Door Trim Removal & Precision Hook Set (9 Pcs)", "price_adjustment": 19.99, "in_stock": true }, { "name": "Dashboard Trim Tool Panel (4 Pack Assorted)", "price_adjustment": 7.99, "in_stock": true }, { "name": "DC 5V-90V Voltage Circuit Tester Digital Display", "price_adjustment": 14.99, "in_stock": true } ] } ], "dimensions": null, "weight": { "value": 2, "unit": "kg" }, "rating": null, "reviews": [], "shipping": { "country": "GB", "rate": 0, "currency": "GBP", "free": true, "handling_days": { "min": 0, "max": 1 }, "transit_days": { "min": 2, "max": 5 } }, "returns": { "accepted": true, "window_days": 14, "unlimited": false, "fees": "customer", "country": "GB", "policy_url": null }, "warranty": "1 Year Warranty on all items", "updated": "2026-09-18T12:40:34+01:00", "store": { "name": "Dynamic Sounds Ltd.", "url": "https://dev.dynamicsounds.co.uk/", "currency": "GBP" } }
