Complete stereo upgrade kit to install a Single DIN aftermarket radio and retain the use of the steering wheel audio controls in Volvo C30/C70/S40 and V50 car models (WITH AMPLIFIED SOUND SYSTEMS)
This kit also retains phone button controls, warning chimes/parking sensor audio and provides outputs for Park Brake, Reverse Gear and Speed Pulse.

Fascia Adaptor
This adaptor will convert the non din-sized aperture left after removing the factory stereo to a din size ready for head unit installation. The high quality finish, colour and texture are designed specifically to maintain the original look of your vehicles interior.
Steering Control Adaptor
A stalk/steering wheel control adaptor enables you to utilise the original factory remote audio (whether built onto steering wheel or fitted on a stalk next to the steering wheel) with an aftermarket unit.
Aerial Adaptor
An Aerial Adaptor is needed when replacing the original factory fitted head unit with an aftermarket head unit.
FACIA MODIFICATION REQUIRED
The original facia panel will need to be cut (Please see picture below) We recommend this should be done by a professional car audio technician/ installer
On amplified sound systems, you will need to unplug the original OEM amplifier and connect to the supplied amplifier bypass cable. It will power all the speakers apart from centre channel speakers (usually found on Dynaudio Sound Systems)
High Performance/ Premium Sound Systems Examples
All Volvo C30/C70/S40 and V50 car models from 2004-2012 had 3 different sound systems:
Performance Sound (NON-AMPLIFIED)
This was fitted as the standard sound system for most of these Volvo Models. Although it had a couple of variations in its model years, it typically consisted of a standard 6 or 8 speaker set up system
High Performance Sound (Amplified)
This was fitted both as standard on Higher Spec Volvo models and as an optional upgrade. An easy way to tell if your vehicle is fitted with this system is when the radio powers up it will show on the radio display as 'HIGH PERFORMANCE SOUND'
Premium Sound (Amplified) Either DYNAUDIO or DOLBY PRO LOGIC II
This was fitted as an optional upgrade. An easy way to tell if your vehicle is fitted with this system is when the radio powers up it will show on the radio display as PREMIUM SOUND' This sound system is easier to identify as their will usually be a DYNAUDIO badge on some of the sound equipment. For E.G. On top of the centre speaker above the radio (Centre Dashboard)
